At Hollywood Lighting Services, six guiding principles have consistently sustained our practices and directed our growth as a company. As the importance of environmental sustainability becomes increasingly evident, Hollywood Lighting and the entertainment industry at large must examine the global impact that their decisions create. We endeavor to make decisions which reduce our carbon footprint while serving as leaders in our industry by applying the guiding principles that have led us to success.

Integrity

Actively reducing our toll on the environment is not always an easy thing to do, but it’s the right thing to do.

Passion

We are passionate about the role we play in our community. We strive to lead by example and to do so by continually investigating every possible means of energy and waste reduction.

Discipline

It’s the small things, in our practices and products, that add up to big change. Without discipline, it is easy for those small things to slip through the cracks. We must make time every time to follow sustainable practices.

Teamwork

We know that as one company the difference we can make may be minimal. As a member of a much larger industry, which is inherently consumptive, we see a lot of room for improvement. By combining efforts with partners and competitors alike, we can institute industry-wide change that will significantly reduce our carbon footprint.

Change

The lighting industry is at a major turning point in terms of power consumption. Development of low-energy lighting sources is making it possible to do most of what we have always done with a fraction of the power. Hollywood Lighting embraces this change and works hard to be at the leading edge.

Profitability

It is essential to consider the benefits of new technology in relation to the high cost of innovation. In order to continue providing exceptional customer service and superior equipment, Hollywood Lighting must take a gradual path to environmental retooling.
